Resumen
La tuberculosis es una patología causada por el bacilo mycobacterium tuberculosis, el cual
suele actuar sobre los pulmones y otras zonas del cuerpo. se reproduce por medio de gotas o
partículas de aire cuando un huésped contaminado estornuda o tose, convirtiéndose en un gran
problema de salud pública mundial sino se realizan acciones para controlar y realizar un
seguimiento oportuno y eficaz de los pacientes diagnosticados. según la OMS (2023). la
tuberculosis es un dilema para la salud de la población mundial. un total de 1,6 millones de
personas han perdido la vida a causa de la enfermedad en el 2021 (entre ellas 187. 000 personas
con enfermedades crónicas como el VIH) convirtiéndose en décima tercera causa de muerte y
la enfermedad infecciosa más mortíferadespués del covid-19 (organización mundial de la saludoms,2023). de acuerdo con el informe del evento tuberculosis del instituto departamental de
salud (2022), se evidenció que en esta vigencia se dieron un total de 362 sucesos nuevos,
aumentando la incidencia y el número de contagios de convivientes y familiares en el
departamento de Norte de Santander. con el análisis citado anteriormente se puede deducir que
el aumento en el número de casos puede estar relacionado con las diferentes fallas de
adherencia a las estrategias del programa de tuberculosis para la prevención y tratamiento de la
enfermedad, configurando un factor de riesgo para toda la población.

According to the report of the tuberculosis event of the departmental institute of health (2022), it was evidenced that in this period there were a total of 362 new events, increasing the incidence and the number of infections of cohabitants and family members in the department of norte de santander. with the analysis cited above, it can be deduced that the increase in the number of cases may be related to the different failures of adherence to the strategies of the tuberculosis program for the prevention and treatment of the disease, constituting a risk factor for the entire population.
