Estimation of the Impact of the Carbon Footprint in a High Complexity Ips in the City of Barranquilla Through the ISO 14064-1 Methodology of 2020 in the Year 2023. Abstract Climate Change is currently an environmental problem that in turn triggers health problems, also becoming a public health issue; Estimating the carbon footprint is a tool that allows organizations to know their behavior in terms of the generation of greenhouse gases, and thereby develop programs and tools that allow them to reduce the environmental impact resulting from economic activity. The health sector is one of the economic sectors in which little work has been done, which is why the carbon footprint of a fourth-level complexity health service provider institution in the city of Barranquilla was estimated. The above was taken as a guide by the ISO 14064-1 standard, and as a reference year for the study, from January 2023 to December 2023, and as a baseline from January 2022 to December 2022; Direct and indirect sources were identified, the necessary data was collected and then the inventory and calculation was carried out using the “Climate Impact Monitoring Tool for Health Facilities” which is a carbon footprint calculator developed for the health sector by the International NGO Health Without Harm. Developed for the health sector. by the International NGO Health Without Harm.
