Resumen
Antecedentes: En la literatura previa, se han abordado varios aspectos relacionados con la protección animal, el uso de tecnologías en el cuidado de mascotas y los factores legales involucrados en el desarrollo de aplicaciones móviles. Estos estudios han revelado la importancia de garantizar el bienestar de las mascotas, así como la necesidad de cumplir con las normativas legales y proteger los datos personales de los usuarios en el contexto de estas aplicaciones. El aumento en la adopción de mascotas y la demanda de encontrar compañeros adecuados para ellas han generado interés en el uso de aplicaciones móviles para la búsqueda de pareja canina.
Objetivo: El objetivo principal de este estudio fue analizar la percepción del uso de una aplicación móvil para la búsqueda de pareja canina en la ciudad de Cúcuta. Se buscó comprender cómo los usuarios perciben y experimentan esta herramienta tecnológica, y cómo estas percepciones influyen en su comportamiento y uso de la aplicación. Al comprender mejor las percepciones de los usuarios, se buscó identificar áreas de mejora y optimización de la aplicación para brindar una experiencia satisfactoria a los usuarios y promover la socialización de las mascotas caninas.
Materiales y métodos: Para llevar a cabo este estudio de paradigma positivista, se utilizó un enfoque de investigación cuantitativo con un diseño descriptivo. Se seleccionó una muestra representativa de dueños de mascotas caninas en Cúcuta. A estos participantes se les administraron encuestas estructuradas que contenían preguntas específicas relacionadas con la percepción del uso de la aplicación móvil y la satisfacción de los usuarios. Este enfoque permitió recopilar datos objetivos y cuantificables sobre las percepciones de los usuarios y su experiencia con la aplicación.
Resultados: Los resultados obtenidos a través de las encuestas revelaron las percepciones de los usuarios sobre el uso de la aplicación móvil para la búsqueda de pareja canina. Se identificaron patrones y tendencias en el comportamiento y uso de la aplicación, así como en la satisfacción de los usuarios con las características y funcionalidades proporcionadas por la misma. Los usuarios manifestaron la importancia de contar con perfiles verificados y completos, una interfaz intuitiva y opciones de búsqueda personalizadas para encontrar parejas caninas compatibles. Además, se observó que la satisfacción de los usuarios estaba relacionada con la efectividad de la aplicación para facilitar conexiones exitosas entre dueños de mascotas caninas.
Conclusiones: Las conclusiones del estudio resaltaron la importancia de las percepciones de los usuarios en el uso de una aplicación móvil para la búsqueda de pareja canina. Se observó que las opiniones y experiencias de los usuarios influyen en su comportamiento y uso de la aplicación, así como en su nivel de satisfacción. Los resultados indicaron la necesidad de optimizar la aplicación, teniendo en cuenta las preferencias y necesidades de los usuarios, como la implementación de filtros de búsqueda más precisos y herramientas de recomendación personalizadas. Además, se sugirió mejorar la experiencia de usuario en términos de usabilidad, funcionalidad y seguridad para promover el bienestar y la socialización de las mascotas caninas a través de esta herramienta tecnológica.
Background: Previous literature has addressed various aspects related to animal protection, the use of technology in pet care, and the legal factors involved in mobile application development. These studies have revealed the importance of ensuring the well-being of pets, as well as the need to comply with legal regulations and protect users' personal data in the context of these applications. The increase in pet adoption and the demand for finding suitable companions for them have generated interest in the use of mobile applications for canine partner search. Objective: The main objective of this study was to analyze the perception of using a mobile application for canine partner search in the city of Cúcuta. The aim was to understand how users perceive and experience this technological tool and how these perceptions influence their behavior and app usage. By gaining a better understanding of users' perceptions, the study aimed to identify areas for improvement and optimization of the application to provide a satisfying user experience and promote the socialization of canine pets. Materials and Methods: To carry out this positivist paradigm study, a quantitative research approach with a descriptive design was employed. A representative sample of dog owners in Cúcuta was selected. These participants were administered structured surveys containing specific questions related to their perception of using the mobile application and user satisfaction. This approach allowed for the collection of objective and quantifiable data on users' perceptions and their experience with the application. Results: The results obtained through the surveys revealed users' perceptions of using the mobile application for canine partner search. Patterns and trends were identified in the behavior and usage of the application, as well as in users' satisfaction with its features and functionalities. Users expressed the importance of having verified and complete profiles, an intuitive interface, and personalized search options to find compatible canine partners. Additionally, it was observed that user satisfaction was related to the effectiveness of the application in facilitating successful connections among dog owners. Conclusions: The study's conclusions highlighted the importance of users' perceptions in the use of a mobile application for canine partner search. It was observed that users' opinions and experiences influence their behavior and usage of the application, as well as their level of satisfaction. The results indicated the need for optimizing the application, taking into account users' preferences and needs, such as implementing more precise search filters and personalized recommendation tools.
