Resumen
El presente estudio tiene como propósito analizar la promoción del proyecto de vida en los estudiantes de educación media en la Comuna 6 de San José de Cúcuta, con el fin de evaluar el impacto de las estrategias implementadas por las instituciones educativas públicas y proponer orientaciones que fortalezcan el proceso de acompañamiento. En términos metodológicos, la investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, utilizando encuestas estructuradas para la recolección de datos. Se aplicaron dos instrumentos: uno dirigido a los estudiantes de 10 y 11 y otro a los directivos docentes. El análisis de datos se realizó mediante el software estadístico SPSS, lo que permitió obtener medidas de tendencia central y cruzar variables relevantes para el estudio.
La población del estudio estuvo conformada por 316 estudiantes de grados 10 y 11 y 18 directivos docentes, garantizando una representación significativa de las percepciones y experiencias de los actores clave.
Los resultados evidenciaron diferencias significativas entre la percepción de los estudiantes y la de los directivos sobre el apoyo institucional. Ya que, el 61.1% de los directivos manifestó que las instituciones brindan estrategias adecuadas, solo el 45.6% de los estudiantes afirmó contar con un plan definido para alcanzar sus metas. Esto sugiere una brecha entre la existencia de programas y su efectividad en la orientación de los jóvenes.
Se identificaron oportunidades de mejora en la estructuración de estrategias de orientación vocacional, en el fortalecimiento de la mentoría personalizada y en la generación de mecanismos de evaluación del impacto de las estrategias
implementadas.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the promotion of the life project in high school students in Commune 6 of San José de Cúcuta, in order to evaluate the impact of the strategies implemented by public educational institutions and propose guidelines to strengthen the accompaniment process. In methodological terms, the research was developed under a quantitative approach, using structured surveys for data collection. Two instruments were applied: one aimed at students in 10th and 11th grades and another at school principals. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS statistical software, which allowed obtaining central tendency measures and crossing variables relevant to the study. The study population consisted of 316 students in grades 10 and 11 and 18 school principals, ensuring a significant representation of the perceptions and experiences of key actors. The results showed significant differences between the perception of students and that of principals regarding institutional support. While 61.1% of managers stated that institutions provide adequate strategies, only 45.6% of students stated that they have a defined plan to achieve their goals. This suggests a gap between the existence of programs and their effectiveness in guiding young people. Opportunities for improvement were identified in the structuring of vocational guidance strategies, in strengthening personalized mentoring, and in generating mechanisms to evaluate the impact of the strategies implemented.
