As every year, World Kidney Day will be celebrated on March 13th, prompting educational campaigns worldwide aimed at raising awareness among the general population about kidney care. Given that chronic kidney disease (CKD) has a significant impact on quality of life, morbidity, and mortality, it is crucial to use this opportunity to raise its visibility among the public. It is estimated that approximately 10% of the global population suffers from some form of CKD, with 78% residing in low- or middle-income countries. These regions also face challenges such as malnutrition, infection risks, low birth weight, environmental factors, and limited access to healthcare serviceseng
