dc.description.abstractObjetivo: Determinar el comportamiento epidemiológico del Zika en la ciudad de Barranquilla, Atlántico. Periodo comprendido entre los años 2015 – 2018.Estudio descriptivo de corte trasversal, donde se extrajo información de las bases de datos de la secretaría Distrital de Salud de Barranquilla, analizando los años del 2015 – 2018 obteniéndose un total de 5,645 pacientes diagnosticados con Zika. Se obtuvo que la mayor incidencia de la enfermedad fue en el año 2016 con 4.396 casos, donde la población entre los 27 y 59 años fue la más afectada, el sexo femenino fue el protagonista en un 70%, en la localidad suroccidente fue donde más se dio el Zika con 1,480 casos reportados; también, 181 de las personas infectadas por el virus residían en el barrio Boston y el 51.1% de los pacientes pertenecen a un nivel socioeconómico bajo. Se pudo establecer también que el síntoma que predominó en esta población fue el exantema, de 1,368 partos solo el 20% de los nacidos presentaron microcefalia y solo 5 personas fueron reportadas con Guillain Barre. Se concluyó que el mayor impacto de esta enfermedad fue en el 2015 y 2016, para los años 2017 y 2018 casi que su incidencia desapareció.spa
dc.description.abstractObjective: To determine the epidemiological behavior of Zika in the city of Barranquilla, Atlántico. Period between the years 2015-2018. Descriptive cross-sectional study, where additional information is found from the databases of the District Health Secretariat of Barranquilla, analyzing the years of 2015 - 2018 obtaining a total of 5,645 patients diagnosed with Zika. The highest incidence of the disease was obtained in 2016 with 4,396 cases, where the population between 27 and 59 was the most affected, female sex was the protagonist in 70%, in the locality the country was where it was most He gave Zika with 1,480 cases reported; also, 181 of the people infected by the virus resided in the Boston neighborhood and 51.1% of the patients affected at a low socioeconomic level.
