Resumen
Introducción: la preexistencia de una enfermedad crónica como lo es la
Hipertensión arterial HTA la cual presenta una alta incidencia en la población adulta, esta
investigación busca evaluar diversas funciones cognitivas en 5 sujetos adultos con HTA y
describir el funcionamiento de los procesos neuropsicológicos como memoria, atención,
lenguaje, Gnosias y Praxias, asimismo la funcionalidad en actividades básicas e
instrumentales de la vida diaria determinando la presencia o no de deterioros o déficits
cognitivos asociados a estas funciones cognitivas, además establecer la posible existencia
de factores asociados a las enfermedades crónicas como lo son ideas depresivas.
Objetivo: describir cómo se encuentra el funcionamiento neuropsicológico en 5
adultos con Hipertensión Arterial (HTA).
Metodología: 5 sujetos de la ciudad de Cartagena, Colombia con HTA entre 55 y
60 años, hipertensos diagnosticados hace más de 5 años, el diseño corresponde a al
análisis de caso el cual permite condesar la información cualitativa y cuantitativa para
luego dar paso a un análisis más descriptivo y clínico.
Introduction: the pre-existence of a chronic disease such as AHT, which has a high incidence in the adult population, this research seeks to evaluate various cognitive functions in 5 adult subjects with AHT and describe the functioning of neuropsychological processes such as memory, attention, language, Gnosias and Praxias, as well as functionality in basic and instrumental activities of daily life, determining the presence or absence of cognitive impairments or deficits associated with these cognitive functions, as well as establishing the possible existence of factors associated with chronic diseases such as they are depressive ideas. Objective: describe how neuropsychological functioning is found in 5 adults with Arterial Hypertension (AHT).
