The purpose of this research project was to propose a strategy for strengthening soft skills based on the results of the Disc methodology applied to internship students of the Simón Bolívar University Psychology Program. To show future professionals who are launching into the job market, that not only hard skills delimit the rigorous technical and intellectual preparation, which leads them to get the job of their dreams or the stability they long for after a process of practices; rather, on the contrary, they are an added value within the framework of belonging to relevant organizations. That is why it became necessary to present a deductive type of research with a non-experimental design, to identify soft skills and their importance in professional growth in students in practice; since these are seen as a competitive advantage in companies that allow accelerated growth. For this reason, the results of this research allowed to know the predominant attributes of the students in practice of the Psychology program, which are framed in 79% with Sustaining Attribute and 59% with Analytical Attribute, profiles that generated the desirable soft skills. by the job market for all future professionals in this new era. In the same way, it was found that the ones that should be promoted the most are a sense of urgency, proactivity, competitiveness, flexibility, time management, organization of their workspace, effective and assertive communication, and empathy. It was possible to conclude the need that as an educational entity there is in front of courses or workshops of interest that promote the development of said skills with training focused on real life and self-knowledge.
