Resumen
El presente ensayo tiene como objeto de estudio el femicidio, entendido como un tipo de violencia de género, y por lo tanto, fenómeno social, en el cual la mujer es la víctima de todo tipo de agresiones (verbales, psicológicas, físicas) en cualquier grado de intensidad, en cualquier lugar y en cualquier tiempo. Este estudio es producto del proyecto de investigación intitulado: El Feminicidio un crimen de odio en contra de la mujer y la violencia de género en la ciudad de Barranquilla; y con él se aspira a lograr una lectura correcta del comportamiento del femicidio en la ciudad colombiana de Barranquilla, a partir de los hechos y de las teorías empleadas en esta investigación. Es por tanto una invitación a reflexionar sobre el feminicidio y la violencia de género; y tiene como objetivo principal analizar el comportamiento de este tipo de crímenes en la ciudad de Barranquilla, considerando su naturaleza, dinámica, impacto. Para ello se emplea un enfoque descriptivo, y se combinan aspectos cuantitativos como cualitativos de la investigación, y se aborda el objeto de estudio de forma metodológica a través de tres niveles de análisis. El primer nivel se recogen los datos estadísticos de mujeres víctimas fatales de violencia a manos de parejas sentimentales, así como de casos no fatales que han ocurrido en Barranquilla durante el periodo 2016-2020, recurriendo para ello a fuentes confiables como la revista Criminalidad de la Policía Nacional y la revista Forensis de Medicina Legal. El segundo nivel es el estudio de hombres encarcelados por este delito en la prisión de Barranquilla, y un tercer nivel, una breve investigación y análisis de mujeres condenadas por defenderse de este crimen de ser víctimas a victimarios.
The purpose of this essay is to study feminicide, understood as a type of gender violence, and therefore, a social phenomenon, in which women are the victims of all kinds of attacks (verbal, psychological, physical) in any degree of intensity, anywhere and at any time. This study is the product of the research project entitled: Feminicide, a hate crime against women and gender violence in the city of Barranquilla; and it aims to achieve a correct reading of the behavior of feminicide in the Colombian city of Barranquilla, based on the facts and the theories used in this investigation. . It is therefore an invitation to reflect on feminicide and gender violence; and its main objective is to analyze the behavior of this type of crime in the city of Barranquilla, considering its nature, dynamics, and impact. For this, a descriptive approach is used, and quantitative and qualitative aspects of the research are combined, and the object of study is approached in a methodological way through three levels of analysis. The first level includes statistical data on women who are fatal victims of violence at the hands of sentimental partners, as well as on non-fatal cases that have occurred in Barranquilla during the 2016-2020 period, using reliable sources such as the magazine criminalidad de la Policía Nacional and Forensis Legal Medicine magazine. The second level is the study of men incarcerated for this crime in the Barranquilla prison, and a third level, a brief investigation and analysis of women convicted of defending themselves from this crime from being victims to victimizers.
