Resumen
Introducción: La formación académica del instrumentador quirúrgico exige dedicación, horas extra de estudio, asistencia en áreas de simulación clínica e interacción profesional en las instituciones de salud, además, la formación tiene enfoque biopsicosocialy cultural apuntando al desarrollo de competencias transversales y específicas con el fin de interactuar de forma asertiva con el equipo quirúrgico y el entorno, para contribuir significativamente en el quehacer, el saber comunicar las ideas a la hora de asesorar sobre el funcionamiento de equipos, insumos y dispositivos médicos con eficiencia y eficacia quegarantizan calidad de servicio desde el profesional.
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la percepción del instrumentador quirúrgico frente a la educación no formal y los aprendizajes significativosen la especialidad de ortopedia y traumatología en Barranquilla.
Introduction: The academic training of the surgical instrument technician requiresdedication, extra study hours, attendance in clinical simulation areas, and professional interaction in health institutions. Additionally, the training has a biopsychosocial and cultural focus aimed at developing transversal and specific competencies to effectively interact with the surgical team and the environment, significantly contributing to the workat hand. The ability to communicate ideas when advising on the operation of equipment, supplies, and medical devices with efficiency and effectiveness ensures quality service from the professional. This research objective is to analyze the perception of surgical assistant regardingnon-formal education and significant learning in the specialty of orthopedics and traumatology in Barranquilla. The study population consisted of 50 surgical assistants, surveying three types of cathegories: specialized practice, non-formal education, and significant learning.
