Resumen
La demencia asociada al VIH actualmente denominada como complejo cognitivomotor asociado con el VIH-1, se caracteriza por una triada de alteraciones cognoscitivas, conductuales y motoras que generan serias dificultades en la capacidad funcional del paciente, no se conoce exactamente el tiempo y la frecuencia en que se desarrolla el deterioro cognitivo en esta enfermedad. El objetivo de este proyecto es determinar el tipo, la frecuencia y los factores asociados con el desarrollo de deterioro cognitivo en pacientes con VIH/SIDA, que asisten una clínica de la ciudad de Barranquilla, durante el periodo de julio del 2018 a julio del 2019; mediante la aplicación del Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCa) test
