Resumen
Esta investigación sobre la deserción escolar en Cúcuta durante los últimos tres años se ha enfocado en un análisis documental, revelando que los factores determinantes son predominantemente externos a las instituciones educativas. Aspectos socioeconómicos, familiares y contextuales inciden en la decisión de los estudiantes de abandonar sus estudios. Este análisis detallado identifica las causas principales y evalúa las repercusiones a nivel individual y comunitario, destacando la necesidad de abordar la deserción desde una perspectiva más amplia que trascienda el ámbito educativo. Se reconoce que la deserción escolar impacta el bienestar económico y social, llevando a propuestas de estrategias integrales para su reducción en Cúcuta, con un énfasis en la implementación efectiva y el seguimiento continuo. Aunque se abordaron limitaciones, la investigación destaca la complejidad del fenómeno y sugiere futuras exploraciones cualitativas y de casos detallados, así como análisis específicos de intervenciones y diferencias en distintos niveles educativos y contextos.
This research on school dropout in Cúcuta over the past three years has focused on a documentary analysis, revealing that determinant factors are predominantly external to educational institutions. Socioeconomic, family, and contextual aspects influence students' decision to abandon their studies. This detailed analysis identifies the main causes and assesses the repercussions at the individual and community levels, emphasizing the need to address dropout from a broader perspective beyond the educational realm. It is acknowledged that school dropout impacts economic and social well-being, leading to proposals for comprehensive strategies for its reduction in Cúcuta, with an emphasis on effective implementation and ongoing monitoring. Although limitations were addressed, the research highlights the complexity of the phenomenon and suggests future qualitative explorations, detailed case studies, as well as specific analyses of interventions and differences in different educational levels and contexts.
