Resumen
A finales del año 2019, en Wuhan, China, se inició el brote de un nuevo
coronavirus el cual se dispersó por todo el mundo, infectando y cobrando miles de
vidas. A la fecha se conocen ciertas comorbilidades que se consideran factores de
riesgo para desenlaces poco satisfactorios de la enfermedad, sin embargo, es
poco lo que se ha descrito con respecto a pacientes en hemodiálisis, a pesar de
tratarse de una población de alto riesgo de infección, complicaciones y muerte. En
este artículo se describe el curso clínico durante la enfermedad COVID-19 en 7
pacientes en hemodiálisis permanente, y se describen las manifestaciones clínicas
y complicaciones. Se realizan recomendaciones para realizar manejo en pacientes
con enfermedad renal crónica.
