Resumen
Colombia está enfrentado una epidemia emergente del consumo endovenoso de heroína. Un conocimiento de los programas existentes que ofrecen tratamiento asistido con metadona en el país es necesario para que se puedan proponer estrategias de mejoría; por tanto, sus métodos utilizaron una encueta que se les realizó a 13 programas de regiones prioritarias. Objetivo: Analizar la relación que existe entre el consumo de drogas, el rendimiento académico y absentismo en los estudiantes universitarios. Materiales y Métodos: Teniendo en cuenta que nuestra investigación es cualitativa, el método que se utilizó fue el Focus Group, aplicado a través del instrumento empleado que este caso fue la entrevista abierta, la cual se realizó por Meet, con 15 estudiantes universitarios de octavo semestre del programa psicología de la Universidad Simón Bolívar, Sede Barranquilla y también utilizando el Diario de campo, como material clave para nuestra investigación. Resultados: Para realizar el análisis de los resultados de nuestra investigación, fue de gran importancia tener en cuenta los objetivos específicos planteados, de cada objetivo se obtuvo una categoría y a su vez se obtuvieron unas subcategorías, las cuales fueron resaltadas con colores representativos y para realizar el análisis de datos, se utilizó el Software MAXQDA, el cual nos permitió llevar a cabo la codificación de los datos de nuestro instrumento que fue la entrevista abierta. Conclusiones: En los resultados del estudio realizado sobre el consumo de drogas y su incidencia en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes universitarios de la universidad Simón Bolívar en octavo semestre, se logra observar que los jóvenes entrevistados identifican los factores de riesgo que causan el consumo de drogas y el impacto que tiene el uso de estas sustancias psicoactivas durante su proceso de académico.
