This research aims to explore how learned helplessness and emotional dependence are associated in women victims of domestic violence. Based on the increase in reported cases in recent years and the lack of studies that explore these variables together, the need arises to better understand the psychological dynamics that perpetuate this cycle. Domestic violence leaves deep scars on self-esteem, self-concept, and resilience capacity. Emotional dependence reinforces staying in abusive relationships, while learned helplessness generates a perception of inability to change and/or escape the situation. A quantitative approach is employed, with a non-experimental design, and standardized questionnaires are applied to measure both variables. The results allow identifying the level of association between the two variables through correlational statistical analysis, establishing patterns that can allow future comparisons in similar research. Likewise, this study aims to provide data that serve as a basis for developing risk profiles in women victims of domestic violence.
