Metalloporphyrins, compounds formed by the coordination of a metal ion to a porphyrin ring, exhibit unique properties that make them valuable molecular prospects for the development of new functional materials. In this context, porphyrin 5,10,15,20-tetrakis-(4-ethylphenyl)porphyrin (TEtPP) has shown great potential due to its versatile structure and its ability to form stable complexes with different metals. This project focuses on the synthesis and characterization of a new Cu²⁺ metalloporphyrin derived from TEtPP. The choice of copper ion is justified by its electrochemical properties and its crucial role in numerous biological and industrial processes. This study aims not only to validate the synthesis of the TEtPP-Cu²⁺ complex, but also to explore its chemical stability and potential in practical applications. Objective: Synthesize and characterize a new Cu2+ metalloporphyrin derived from 5, 10, 15, 20-tetrakis-(4-ethylphenyl)porphyrin
