The objective of this research is to assess the competitive and technological level of the bovine meat production chain in the department of Atlántico, using competitive intelligence. For this, two phases are developed: The Foundation phase and the Development Phase. The foundation phase begins with the conceptual bases provided by the literature regarding the Competitive Intelligence process and contextualizing it with the conditions of the sector under study, this leads to the construction and validation of the Matrix of Key Competitive Intelligence Factors instrument - CFM-IC , which allows collecting data to measure and assess the competitive and technological level of the actors of the Atlantic meat production chain, for this research are the Livestock Farms located in the Department of Atlántico and the Processing Plants, in relation to 31 factors and Five dimensions of CI adopted in the present study (Business Intelligence, Competitor Intelligence, Technological Intelligence, Social Environment Intelligence and Strategic Intelligence) for this study, in the content validation, a panel of experts made up of (8) panelists was used. validated the instrument, obtaining a “ratio of v Content validity ”(CVR) of 95% of the items was greater equal to 0.5823 and the“ Content validity index ”(CVI) of 0.893. The Development phase contemplates the Generation of Intelligence, from the application of the cluster analysis to the results of the surveys, (5) five clusters were found for the Livestock Farms and (2) two for the Processing Plants. Regarding the Livestock Farms, the study concluded that Profile 1 corresponds to the group of Livestock Farms with the highest% of competitive and technological development, reaching 30.7%, despite the fact that this result is qualified on the general scale of “ low ”, the other clusters were classified as“ very low ”development, reaching a valuation of 19.7% for profile 2, 18.7% for profile 3, 15.0% for profile 4 and 14.4% for profile 5. Likewise, it was evidenced that the intelligences with the best development were the intelligences of the Competitors and the Technical and Technological. For the Processing Plants, the study concluded that Profile 1 corresponds to the group of Processing Plants with the highest percentage of competitive and technological development, reaching 63.5%, this rating is categorized as "Medium" on the general scale, from Similarly, Profile 2 was qualified in the same development. The most highly developed intelligences are that of Competitors and Commercial. Finally, taking into account the characterization of the competitive and technological profiles, opportunities for improvement were identified for each competitive profile, which will serve as the basis for making strategic decisions by the leaders of each actor in the Atlantic beef production chain. This project has a potential impact on the economy of the region, which is quite relevant, since it traces an improvement route to each of the links that make up the bovine meat chain of the Atlantic department, promoting the competitiveness and technological capacity of its individuals.
