dc.description.abstract | Objetivo: identificar la relación entre depresión y falla cardiaca desde la visión del internista, en una institución de IV nivel. Material y métodos: Estudio descriptivo, observacional, de corte transversal, en 50 pacientes con falla cardiaca. Criterios de inclusión: Rango de edad requerido: 18 a 90 años, diagnóstico previo de falla cardiaca diagnosticada por un cardiólogo, que formen parte del programa de falla cardiaca y que se encuentren viviendo en la ciudad de Barranquilla. Criterios de exclusión: Paciente que posean una patología psiquiátrica previa al diagnóstico de falla cardiaca, y tener una incapacidad física o mental que impida la recolección de datos. Se aplico una entrevista no estructurada. Resultados: se incluyeron 50 pacientes de una cohorte del programa de falla cardiaca. según nuestra entrevista se observó que el 18% (n=9) presentaban depresión. En cuanto al sexo la depresión predomino más en el masculino. En el paciente deprimido el índice de Barthel arrojo una puntuación entre (60-91pts). Conclusiones: La depresión actualmente es considerada una de las comorbilidades que se ha asociado con mayor frecuencia en la falla cardiaca, la presencia de esta enfermedad reconoce un conjunto de pacientes que tendrían un pronóstico peor. | spa |

Exclusion criteria: Patient who possess a psychiatric pathology prior to diagnosis of heart failure, and have a physical or mental disability that prevents data collection. An unstructured interview was applied. Results: 50 patients were included from a cohort of the heart failure program. according to our interview, it was observed that 18% (No.9) had depression. As for sex, the depression is more predated in the male. In the depressed patient Barthel's index yielded a score between (60-91pts). Conclusions: Depression is currently considered one of the most common Comorbidities in heart failure, the presence of this disease recognizes a set of patients who would have a worse prognosis. | eng |
