Resumen
El presente trabajo analiza los desafíos que enfrentan las microempresas en Cúcuta, Norte de Santander, Colombia, y busca identificar los obstáculos que limitan su crecimiento y permanencia en el mercado. Las microempresas enfrentan diversos retos internos y externos que ponen en riesgo su sostenibilidad. Este estudio se enfoca en las microempresas registradas en la Cámara de Comercio de Cúcuta para comprender mejor los factores que
afectan su desarrollo y proponer estrategias que favorezcan su crecimiento. El objetivo principal de la investigación es determinar los desafíos que limitan el crecimiento de las microempresas y las estrategias que pueden implementarse para mejorar su desempeño. La metodología incluyó encuestas y análisis documentales que permitieron recolectar datos sobre las principales dificultades que enfrentan estas empresas, así como los factores internos
y externos que influyen en su operación. Los participantes fueron dueños de microempresas de diversos sectores en la región. Los resultados revelaron que los principales desafíos incluyen la gestión centralizada, dificultades en la adaptación a la competencia, y factores externos como el acceso limitado a financiamiento. También se identificaron barreras relacionadas con la baja competitividad local y el entorno regulatorio. Las conclusiones
destacan que los retos identificados afectan de manera significativa la capacidad de las microempresas para crecer. Estos hallazgos subrayan la necesidad de políticas públicas y estrategias empresariales que mejoren el entorno para estas organizaciones. La investigación contribuye a un conocimiento más profundo de los desafíos empresariales en Cúcuta, propone acciones que favorezcan un desarrollo económico más inclusivo y sostenible en la
región.
This paper analyzes the challenges faced by microenterprises in Cúcuta, Norte de Santander, Colombia, and seeks to identify the obstacles that limit their growth and permanence in the market. Microenterprises face various internal and external challenges that jeopardize their sustainability. This study focuses on microenterprises registered with the Cúcuta Chamber of Commerce to better understand the factors that affect their development and to propose strategies that favor their growth. The main objective of the research is to determine the challenges that limit the growth of microenterprises and the strategies that can be implemented to improve their performance. The methodology included surveys and documentary analysis to collect data on the main difficulties faced by these enterprises, as well as the internal and external factors that influence their operation. The participants were owners of microenterprises in various sectors in the region. The results revealed that the main challenges include centralized management, difficulties in adapting to competition, and external factors such as limited access to financing. Barriers related to low local competitiveness and the regulatory environment were also identified. The findings highlight that the challenges identified significantly affect the ability of microenterprises to grow. These findings underscore the need for public policies and business strategies that improve the environment for these organizations. The research contributes to a deeper understanding of the business challenges in Cúcuta, proposes actions that favor a more inclusive and sustainable economic development in the region.
