The current study focuses on comprehensively assessing the relationship between functional capacity, health-related quality of life, and post-COVID fatigue syndrome in individuals in the Colombian Caribbean Region. A multicriteria analysis was employed, and participants were stratified into five groups based on age ranges, providing a significant and diverse representation of the sample. Additionally, monthly incomes, educational levels, and the presence of post-COVID symptoms were meticulously examined. Results revealed that 62.6% of participants experienced at least one post-COVID symptom, with fatigue being one of the most prominent. The complexity of post-COVID recovery was reflected in the diversity of symptoms, emphasizing the need for a holistic approach in continuous healthcare. The relationship between the number of symptoms and perceived quality of life was evident, indicating that those with more symptoms faced a decrease in their quality of life. The distribution of monthly incomes and educational levels underscored the socio-economic and educational heterogeneity of the sample, posing challenges and opportunities in designing interventions and health policies tailored to the diverse realities of post-COVID patients. Furthermore, the relationship between fatigue and other present symptoms highlights the need to consider the interrelation of symptoms in designing management and rehabilitation strategies. Data suggest that post-COVID fatigue significantly impacts the quality of life of affected individuals, with a fatigue prevalence of 62.6%. There is a clear relationship between the number of symptoms and perceived quality of life. The diversity of symptoms, such as fatigue, difficulty breathing, and neurological issues, can influence quality of life in various ways. Post-COVID recovery varied, with 69.6% reporting improved levels of fatigue, but 20.68% still experiencing fatigue along with other symptoms, indicating the complexity and variability of post-COVID recovery. The complex relationship between fatigue and other symptoms highlights the variability in the immune and physiological response after COVID-19 infection.
