Resumen
Este documento presenta una revisión teórica sobre el constructo psicológico Proyecto de Vida,
como tema de interés en contextos diferentes, derivado del análisis documental realizado en el
marco de un Proyecto de investigación doctoral en Psicología. El objetivo del capítulo es
visibilizar los fundamentos ontológicos del concepto y los abordajes teóricos y prácticos que lo
han acompañado. El método utilizado fue el análisis documental de artículos científicos
asociadas al tema, para poder analizar la trayectoria del concepto y la forma de abordaje desde
la concepción y explicación del concepto. Las fuentes de información, predominantemente,
fueron primarias, las que presentaban posturas de autores clásicos y consultados en bases de
datos. Los criterios de selección fueron asociados a los motores de búsqueda: proyecto de vida,
proyecto vital, plan y curso de vida y la organización y análisis de los datos, se hizo a través de
una matriz de análisis de Investigación (MAI), con los datos claves del documento y el autor,
elementos teóricos esenciales y las referencias, para extraer los conceptos, explicaciones y
resultados de investigación. El análisis generó categorías ontológicas sobre el concepto y los
enfoques asumidos sobre la concepción del Proyecto de Vida. Los resultados, evidencian, el
énfasis de los autores, en el marco de un contexto geopolítico y socio cultural que condicionan
la percepción que cada uno tiene sobre Proyecto de Vida, como proceso de diferentes tipos,
como medio o como fin y su tendencia a ser utilizado en múltiples contextos (organizacionales,
educativos, hospitalarios, penitenciarios, sociales, comunitarios).

This document presents a theoretical review of the psychological construct Life Project, as a topic of interest in different contexts, derived from the documentary analysis carried out within the framework of a Doctoral Research Project in Psychology. The objective of the chapter is to make visible the ontological foundations of the concept and the theoretical and practical approaches that have accompanied it. The method used was the documentary analysis of scientific articles associated with the subject, in order to analyze the trajectory of the concept and the way of approach from the conception and explanation of the concept. The sources of information, predominantly, were primary, those that presented positions of classic authors and consulted in databases. The selection criteria were associated with the search engines: life project, life project, plan and life course and the organization and analysis of the data, was done through a Research Analysis Matrix (MAI), with the key data of the document and the author, essential theoretical elements and references, to extract the concepts, explanations and results of research. The analysis generated ontological categories on the concept and the assumed approaches on the conception of the Life Project. The results show the emphasis of the authors, in the context of a geopolitical and socio-cultural context that condition the perception that each one has about the Life Project, as a process of different types, as a means or as an end and its tendency to be used in multiple contexts (organizational, educational, hospital, penitentiary, social, community).
