Resumen
El estrés se ha convertido en un importante problema de salud pública mundial, y técnicas
como el Mindfulness han demostrado ser muy útiles para su control y reducción, así como
para el tratamiento de las enfermedades que a él se asocian. El objetivo de este estudio
fue identificar los cambios en el estrés percibido y en carga alostática en adultos
entrenados con el programa Mindfulness del Centro Serbal en la ciudad de Barranquilla,
entre los meses de marzo y julio de 2016. Se midió el estrés percibido, la tensión arterial,
el perímetro abdominal, la hemoglobina glicosilada, el colesterol total, el colesterol HDL, el
cortisol en suero y la proteína C reactiva. Se encontró una disminución en la media
estadística de estos parámetros después que los participantes recibieron entrenamiento
en las técnicas del Mindfulness. Se observó que en los adultos participantes en el
programa REBAP se produjo una disminución del estrés percibido y de los parámetros
con los que se evalúa la carga alostática.

Perceived stress, blood pressure, waist circumference, glycosylated hemoglobin, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, serum cortisol and e-reactive protein were measured. lt was found that the mean of these measures decrease after participants have been trained in the technique of Mindfulness. lt was observed a reduction of perceived stress in adults that participates in MBSR program, also decreased allostatic charges parameters
