dc.description.abstractLa obesidad ha sido definida como una pandemia mundial, que se ha convertido en un problema de salud pública siendo uno de los principales factores de riesgo de mortalidad, lo cual infiere en la importancia de generar aportes interdisciplinarios en su prevención y tratamiento, es por esto que a través de la presente revisión se tiene como objetivo analizar las intervenciones psicológicas que han demostrado efectividad en el manejo de la obesidad poniendo a disposición métodos rigurosos eficientes basados en la evidencia que puedan ser complementarios al tratamiento médico e interdisciplinar, lo anterior basado desde los parámetros de una metodología Prisma logrando el aporte de la evidencia investigativa de 20 artículos, con resultados que destacan enfoques clínicos como la Terapia Cognitivo Conductual y las Terapias de Tercera Generación desde la Terapia de Aceptación y Compromiso, así mismo, se destacan las técnicas más utilizadas desde estos enfoques que han contribuido en la disminución de peso, mejoras en el bienestar psicológico desde la depresión, la ansiedad, el estrés, calidad de vida, autoestima y fortalecimiento en los cambios de conducta que favorecen la adherencia a tratamientos complementarios, cambios en conductas alimentarias, aumento de la actividad física y mantenimiento de la pérdida de peso a largo plazo, de esta manera, se concluye en la importancia de continuar realizando investigación que permita ampliar la eficacia de estos aportes en los diferentes grupos poblacionales que actualmente presentan sobrepeso u obesidad.spa
