During the development of this investigative project, the context of the Peace Agreement signed between the FARC guerrilla group and the State was addressed and how the Colombian agreement in 2016 significantly affects the PDET territories, of which the area is part. Of catatumb with 8 municipalities linked within Decree 893 of 2017, from where a Comprehensive Rural Reform is promoted that will remain valid for 10 years. From this conception, we sought to determine if lasting peace is possible after signing the Peace Agreement on how each of them has been implemented and executed in the territories. Therefore, the objective of the project was: analyze the importance of Transitional Justice after the peace agreement and the maintenance of peace in the PDET territories, particularly Norte de Santander. For this purpose, this research was carried out with a qualitative approach, where a documentary type design was applied, supported by indexed magazines, such as Redalyc, Dialnet, Scielo and repositories of national and international universities that allowed us to understand the panorama of transitional justice and peace agreement carried out in Europe and Africa respectively. From this hermeneutic and interpretive approach, it was possible to verify how the different PDET municipalities of the Northern Santander territory have been implementing their public policies to comply with what was agreed in the final Agreement for the Termination of the Conflict and the Construction of a Stable and Lasting Peace
