Resumen
El carbón mineral particulado, es considerado como un factor de riesgo para el
desarrollo de múltiples enfermedades en personas expuestas, sin embargo, no
hay antecedentes del estudio de respuesta a la exposición carbón mineral en
procariotas, ni de estudios que demuestren la activación SOS bacteriana por este
compuesto. El objetivo de este trabajo fue la evaluación de la inducción a la
resistencia al carbón mineral en la cepa E.coli ATCC25922. Esta es una
investigación de tipo básica experimental; para la cual se expuso a carbón mineral
particulada la cepa E. coli atcc25922, se evidencio que si hubo diferencias
estadísticamente significativas entre el control y el expuesto, aunque el carbón
mineral no ha sido categorizado como un agente que desencadene mutaciones en
el ADN bacteriano, se evidencia en este caso que el carbón genera variaciones
en la curva de crecimiento lo cual probablemente se deba a la inducción de
resistencia heredable a sus descendientes.
