Resumen
El presente estudio investigativo tiene como objetivo conocer la incidencia que tiene el mal manejos de los residuos sólidos en el incremento de los desechos en el Magic Garden en la isla de San Andrés. Esta investigación tiene un enfoque cualitativo diseño descriptivo, implementando la técnica de grupos focales a una muestra de 15 personas del sector aledaño al relleno sanitarios, los cuales son los más afectados con esta problemática; esto con el fin de conocer sus percepciones. Asimismo, se espera contribuir a través de las distintas estrategias planteadas al mejoramiento de los manejos de los residuos y a la concientización ambiental tanto para quienes residen en la isla, como también quienes la visitan ya sea por turismo o por trabajo.
The objective of this research study is to determine the impact of poor solid waste management on the increase in waste at Magic Garden on the island of San Andrés. This research has a qualitative descriptive design, implementing the focus group technique with a sample of 15 people from the area surrounding the landfill, who are the most affected by this problem, in order to understand their perceptions. Likewise, it is hoped that the various strategies proposed will contribute to improving waste management and raising environmental awareness among both those who live on the island and those who visit it for tourism or work.
