Resumen
La TB es la enfermedad más antigua que ha padecido el ser humano y en
la actualidad es un problema de salud no resuelto. El abandono del
tratamiento aumenta la mortalidad y el contagio. Se buscó identificar
factores asociados a la incidencia y prevalencia de tuberculosis en
pacientes de la REGION SUR DEL DEPARTAMENTO DEL ATLATICO en año
2010 y su relación con la ola invernal de este mismo año. El estudio fue
de tipo monografía; se circunscribe a señalar los hallazgos de la literatura
y presenta la información suministrada por la Secretaría Departamental
de Salud del Atlántico. Se le realizó un análisis de la información
suministrada para determinar los factores asociados a la incidencia y
prevalencia de la tuberculosis en el sur del departamento del Atlántico.
Los resultados arrojados llevaron a concluir que el abandono del
tratamiento de tuberculosis se asocia a múltiples factores no modificables
como la edad, el sexo y el difícil acceso al servicio de salud, asociando
esto a la problemática existente de la ola invernal del año 2010.
