Innovation has established itself as an essential factor for business growth and success in a globalized and competitive environment. Companies must implement novel products, processes, and organizational practices to remain competitive in an ever-changing market. In this context, innovative behavior is defined as the ability of a company to develop new ideas and take advantage of opportunities in its environment to drive its sustainable development. Particularly, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises play a fundamental role in economies around the world, especially in developing countries . However, they face significant challenges due to limited resources and a lack of specific and contextualized research on their innovative behavior. Unlike large companies, SMEs must approach innovation strategically, making the most of their inter-organizational interactions , among others, to gain access to knowledge, technologies and resources that allow them to compete effectively.eng
