This little-studied species is beginning to be used in reforestation processes and has economic potential, due to the commercialization of the oil rich in organic selenium found in its seeds. Therefore, it is necessary to identify molecular markers that can be used to study the population genetics of L. minor. In this sense, it was proposed to evaluate molecular markers for the population study of L. minor. For this, a set of ISSR and SSR markers was evaluated, testing their transferability in L. minor. Resulting in 5 amplified ISSR markers, which generated a total of 31 bands, of which 25 were polymorphic; While of the 10 SSRs tested, 7 were amplified, obtaining a set of markers with an average ICP of 0.447. A set of 5 ISSR markers and 5 informative SSR markers transferred to the species were obtained, becoming a tool for future studies in population genetics of L. minor.eng
