Resumen
Las Políticas Penitenciarias en Colombia tienen como objetivo la reinserción social del individuo, para llevar acabo la función de la pena que se encuentra consagrada en el artículo 4to del código penal se requiere un fortalecimiento de estas garantías que el estado está en la obligación de cumplir, en esta investigación se realizaron diferentes encuestas sobre la opinión de personas del común acerca de cómo es visto el trabajo y el estudio en las cárceles y si de verdad por un lado la labor educativa y laboral es eficiente y quizás el punto más importante el cual es el impacto que tiene en la sociedad la reinserción de estas personas, si se les brinda una oportunidad, si tienen acceso a iguales condiciones de vida digna luego de pagada su condena, se observó por otra parte cuales son los soportes legales en los que se basan estas políticas y de igual manera se estudió que derechos se violarían si no se cumplen
