Resumen
La Educación virtual es la Educación del futuro en un contexto social en el cual los adelantos tecnológicos y los tradicionales esquemas organizativos y conceptuales de la formación profesional exigen potenciar los modelos de educación ya existentes, por lo tanto representa una respuesta muy pertinente a las demandas educativas del mundo globalizado. El objetivo de esta investigación es realizar un diagnóstico de las competencias pedagógicas mediadas por las Tics en los docentes de los programas de los programas de Ciencias Económicas en la educación a distancia y virtual de la Universidad de Cartagena, donde se analizara el perfil laboral de los docentes y sus competencias en el proceso de
enseñanza-aprendizaje, se determinara cual es la percepción que tiene los estudiantes y los
directivos de las estrategias utilizadas por los docentes en el desarrollo de sus actividades y
finalmente se propondrá unas recomendaciones que contribuyan a mejorar el desarrollo de
las competencias mediadas por las Tics.
Se espera que este documento, llene las expectativas del cuerpo directivo, docente y la
comunidad universitaria y se convierta en una herramienta para ver el desempeño docente
y se tomen los correctivos pertinentes.
Virtual education is the education of the future seen from a social context, in which technological development and the traditional schemes of organization and concepts of vocational training require to maximize the education models already in use. This represents a very accurate and relevant answer to the demands of a globalized world about education. The purpose of this research is to diagnose the pedagogical skills, measured by the ''tics", on the teachers of the Economic Sciences department in distance and virtual learning programs offered by the University of Cartagena. The work profile and skills of the teachers will be analized during the leaning-teaching process. It will be determined, what the students and the board members think about the strategies used by teachers to develop their activities and ultimately, proposals about recommendations will be given to improve the development of the skills measured by the ''tic". It is expected for this document to fulfill the expectations of the board members, teaching members and the student body, and also become a tool to track the teachers performance so actions can be given at the right moment.
