dc.description.abstract | La pandemia a impactado los servicios de salud de manera considerable, colapsando los Servicios de Urgencias y las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos. Así mismo, ha obligado a la población a asistir a los servicios de salud, solo cuando realmente es necesario, especialmente por el confinamiento y miedo de ir a las Urgencia por el riesgo de contagio, observa los cambios en esta dinámica sirve para replantear los planes de manejo intrahospitalario para ajustar y dar respuesta a las necesidades de la población. Objetivo: Evaluar los cambios en el motivo de remisión a Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos 12 meses antes (pre-pandemia) y los 12 siguientes a la declaratoria de la pandemia de SARS-CoV-2 en la Urgencia de una IPS de tercer nivel de complejidad en Magangué (Bol, Co). Metodología: estudio observacional descriptivo de cohorte retrospectivo, pues su propósito es registrar y describir los datos como el comportamiento de las variables 12 meses antes de la declaratoria de pandemia y durante los 12 primeros meses posteriores a la misma. Se realizaron comparaciones entre los tiempos del estudio (pre-pandemia y pandemia) con respecto al sexo, edad, impresión diagnostica del motivo de la urgencia y remisión a la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos, así como la estancia en UCI y la mortalidad. Resultados: Se incluyeron 745 pacientes, 441 para el periodo pre-pandemia y 304 para pandemia reduciéndose en un 18.38% para población atendida (p: 0.0000). La proporción sexual de periodo inicial fue de 40.8% hombres y para el segundo periodo fue de 46.7%. El promedio de edad fue de 66±15 años en ambos periodos. La tasa de mortalidad fue del 61.7% para el primero periodo y del 76.6 para el segundo. dc.description.abstract | The pandemic has had a considerable impact on health services, collapsing Emergency Services and Intensive Care Units. Likewise, it has forced the population to attend health services, only when it is really necessary, especially due to confinement and fear of going to the Urgency due to the risk of contagion, observe the changes in this dynamic, it serves to rethink plans of in-hospital management to adjust and respond to the needs of the population. Objective: To evaluate the changes in the reason for referral to the Intensive Care Unit 12 months before (pre-pandemic) and 12 months after the declaration of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in the Emergency of a third-level complexity IPS in Magangué (Bol, Co). Methodology: a retrospective, descriptive, observational cohort study, as its purpose is to record and describe the data such as the behavior of the variables 12 months before the declaration of a pandemic and during the first 12 months after it. Comparisons were made between the study times (pre-pandemic and pandemic) with respect to sex, age, diagnostic impression of the reason for the emergency and referral to the Intensive Care Unit, as well as ICU stay and mortality. Results: 745 patients were included, 441 for the pre-pandemic period and 304 for the pandemic, reducing by 18.38% for the population attended (p: 0.0000).
