Resumen
La minería de carbón, es una actividad económica que muestran falencias en la seguridad laboral, la salud y también generan grandes impactos ambientales en los lugares de explotación, a pesar de las normativas y vigilancias de los entes de control, las minas plantean amenazas, para lo cual se necesitan prácticas de seguridad, reducción de contaminación y promoción de minería sostenible, igualmente se analiza la situación de la nueva normatividad mundial que tiene como fin primordial la seguridad y salud en minas subterráneas, basada en principios de la OIT. Cubre responsabilidades de autoridades, empleadores y trabajadores, identificación de riesgos, vigilancia de salud laboral y ambiental, y sistemas de gestión, que deben ser actualizados conforme a estándares internacionales
Coal mining is an economic activity that shows shortcomings in occupational safety, health and also generates great environmental impacts in the places of exploitation, despite the regulations and surveillance of the control entities, the mines pose threats, for which safety practices, pollution reduction and promotion of sustainable mining are needed, the situation of the new global regulations is also analyzed, whose primary purpose is safety and health in underground mines, based on ILO principles. It covers responsibilities of authorities, employers and workers, risk identification, occupational and environmental health surveillance, and management systems, which must be updated in accordance with international standards.
