Resumen
El dengue es una enfermedad viral infectocontagiosa, transmitida por un mosquito
hembra llamado Aedes aegypti, de la familia Aedes. Este virus pertenece al
género flavivirus, el cual tiene cuatro serotipos diferentes (DENV1 DENV2 DENV3
DENV4), se puede clasificar en dengue con y sin signos de alarma. Esta es una
enfermedad de gran importancia a nivel mundial causando unas 24.000 muertes al
año, según datos del boletín epidemiológico del SIVIGILA
El objetivo de este trabajo fue determinar la variación espacial y los factores
asociados de la enfermedad del dengue en la ciudad de Barranquilla, durante el
periodo 2011 a 2012
Se encontró que el género que tuvo mayor incidencia en los casos confirmados de
dengue fue el masculino con un porcentaje del 56,28%, según los grupos etarios
el que mayor incidencia presento fueron los adolescentes con un promedio de
25, 15%, seguido de la adultez con un promedio de 24,42%, se encontró que la
localidad en donde se presento el mayor número de casos de dengue fue la
localidad del suroccidente con un promedio de 40,58%.
Dengue fever is an infectious disease of viral type, transmitted by a female mosquito called Aedes aegypti, Aedes family. This virus belongs to the genus flavivirus, which has four different serotypes (DENV1 DENV2 DENV3 DENV4), we can be classified into dengue with and without warning signs. This is a disease of great importance worldwide, causing about 24,000 deaths a year, according to data from the local epidemiological bulletin.
