Polyuse, defined as the simultaneous use of multiple psychoactive substances, has emerged as a significant concern in the field of mental health and addiction. According to data from the National Mental Health Survey (ENSM) of 2020, there is a steady increase in the prevalence of polyuse among different populations, which underlines the importance of addressing this phenomenon from different perspectives. Among the Contributing Factors: Authors such as García and López (2018) have identified socioeconomic factors, substance accessibility, and social pressure as key determinants of polyuse. (2019) point out the influence of the coexistence of mental health disorders on the development of polyuse, highlighting the need for integrated therapeutic strategies. The psychological burden resulting from polyuse underscores the need to address not only individual addictions, but also the interactions between substances. (2020), For this reason, the project takes as a reference the following article that aims to analyze the prevalence of addictive substance use among schooled adolescents in a specific locality, allowing to identify the alternatives seen by young people in different problems. On the other hand, the pattern of intermittent intensive drinking, known as ‘Binge Drinking‘, has become entrenched among adolescents and young people, generating considerable concern in the pseudo-scientific community due to its possible impact on an impact on a brain that is still in the process of maturation.
