| dc.description.abstract | Introducción: El derrame pericárdico es la acumulación de más de 50 ml de líquido en el espacio pericárdico. Objetivo: Practicar ventana pericárdica subxifoidea en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica con derrame pericárdico. Materiales y métodos: estudio descriptivo, no experimental y de tipo transversal. Se incluyeron 56 pacientes con derrame pericárdico asociado a insuficiencia renal crónica en hemodiálisis que ameritaron ventana pericárdica, provenientes del servicio de Nefrología y diálisis del Hospital Universitario de Maracaibo en un periodo comprendido entre enero de 2018 y diciembre de 2019. Las variables se expresaron en frecuencias absolutas y relativas, media y desviación estándar. Resultados: Del total de 56 pacientes, el 67,85% (n=38) fue representado por el sexo femenino y 32,14% (n=18) por el masculino. La mayoría de los pacientes nefrópatas que presentaron derrame pericárdico y que ameritaron ventana pericárdica, tenían edades comprendidas entre 31-59 años con un 55,35%. Los antecedentes patológicos más comunes fue Hipertensión arterial con 67,85%, seguido de diabetes mellitus con 21,42%. La hipervolemia resultó ser la causa del derrame pericárdico en un 50%. El 87,5% no presentaron complicaciones postoperatorias. Conclusión: La ventana pericárdica resultó ser una alternativa quirúrgica en el tratamiento de este grupo de pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica para resolver el derrame pericárdico. | spa |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Pericardial effusion isthe accumulation of more than 50 ml of fluid in the pericardial space. Objective: To practice subxiphoid pericardial window in patients with chronic renal failure with pericardial effusion. Materials and methods: descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional study. 56 patients with pericardial effusion associated with chronic renal failure were included in hemodialysis that required a pericardial window, from the Nephrology and dialysis service of the Maracaibo University Hospital in a period between January 2018 and December 2019. The variables were expressed in frequencies absolute and relative mean and standard deviation. Results: Of the total of 56 patients, 67.85% (n = 38) were represented by the female sex and 32.14% (n = 18) by the male. Most of the nephropathic patients who presented pericardial effusion and who required a pericardial window were aged between 31-59 years with 55.35%. The most common pathological history was arterial hypertension with 67.85%, followed by diabetes mellitus with 21.42%. Hypervolemia turned out to be the cause of pericardial effusion in 50%. 87.5% did not present postoperative complications. Conclusion: The pericardial window turned out to be a surgical alternative in the treatment of this group of patients with chronic renal failure to resolve the pericardial effusion. | eng |
