| spa |
dc.description.abstract | The research focuses on the labor inclusion of people with functional cognitive diversity in Cúcuta, addressing challenges rooted in social perceptions and structural barriers that hinder their labor integration. A mixed approach with a cross-sectional design is used to understand the situation, combining qualitative and quantitative elements. From the literature review to the implementation of concrete actions, we seek to generate tangible results that improve the employability of this vulnerable group. The proposed strategies include awareness-raising, training, inclusive labor policies and mentoring programs designed specifically for people with functional cognitive diversity. The participation of 25 Cúcuta companies in the study, along with the collaboration of ASPANOR, provides a valuable business and organizational perspective to identify needs, concerns, opportunities and challenges in labor integration. The results will be analyzed with statistical methods to evaluate the effectiveness of the strategies, considering the representativeness of the sample and seeking to extrapolate the findings to other similar contexts. In summary, the study represents an important advance towards the promotion of labor inclusion and equal opportunities for people with functional cognitive diversity in Cúcuta, with the aim of improving their quality of life and promoting diversity and inclusion in the work environment and society in general. Based on this theoretical framework, various actions were proposed to improve the labor inclusion of people with functional cognitive diversity in Cúcuta. These actions range from raising awareness and training of employers and workers to the implementation of inclusive labor policies and mentoring programs adapted to the specific needs of this group of people. The collaboration with ASPANOR, a local organization that works with people with cognitive functional diversity, was essential to obtain relevant information about the specific needs and challenges they face in the workplace. Through a semi-structured interview with the director of ASPANOR, a unique perspective was obtained that complemented the data collected from the companies participating in the study. The sample included the participation of 25 companies from Cúcuta, which allowed a broad and representative evaluation of the labor situation in the city. The results obtained were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods, which allowed a rigorous evaluation of the effectiveness of the proposed strategies. In addition, the representativeness of the sample was considered and ways to extrapolate the findings to other similar contexts were sought. In conclusion, this study aims to address the challenges and propose concrete solutions to improve the labor inclusion of people with functional cognitive diversity in Cúcuta. By doing so, we not only seek to improve the quality of life of these people, but also promote diversity and inclusion in the work environment and society as a whole. This approach not only benefits people with functional cognitive diversity, but also enriches the business and social fabric of the city, promoting a more inclusive and holistic vision of business management and the community in general. | eng |
