This article presents the Validation of the Social Intelligence Short Scale (IS-SDMW) aimed at subjects between 18 and 25 years of age. In relation to the validity of the construct, an analysis of reliability, reagent discard, structural model design, confirmatory factorial analysis, reagent discard, model adjustment and model verification was carried out. The result was a Cronbach alpha of 0.73, with the instrument being reliable, based on the reagent discard, the instrument was composed of eleven reagents responding to the consciousness and social facility components verified in the structural model. Therefore, it is concluded that the instrument has a good adjustment of the factorial model and proposed structure, in addition to the psychometric characteristics appropriate for the use of the instrument in the Colombian population.
