Since the end of December 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a global negative impact on the economy, affecting all types of companies and businesses, large and small. Many companies were forced to close their doors and others faced great financial difficulties. In this order of ideas, the implementations mediated by technology was a way of reactivation to maintain production and avoid economic paralysis. In Colombia, the situation was not different at all. In fact, according to data published by the Factor Trabajo blog, 509,370 micro-enterprises closed their productive activities during the pandemic. Most of them faced great financial difficulties, since they did not have the resources to face the fixed costs of their operation in the context of the pandemic. However, some of these companies managed to adapt to the new circumstances and adopted a teleworking model. In the country, teleworking has existed since 2008, but its use increased significantly during the pandemic. In fact, according to the same source, the use of teleworking in Colombia increased by 25% from 2019 to the end of 2022. Telecommuting offers cost and productivity advantages to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). One of the most common economic problems for SMEs is the lack of resources to acquire professional and/or independent services in the multimedia area, which affects their economic growth and productivity. However, the use of teleworking allows SMEs to acquire the services of independent professionals in various multimedia areas, which gives them the opportunity to grow and improve their productivity. Consequently, the research is aligned with the objective of ODS 9 ((Industries, innovation and infrastructure) since it seeks to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, and also promotes innovation. The project includes the development of a functional design of a web page in order to give micro-enterprises the opportunity to manage the hiring of professionals in the multimedia field for the provision of services, that is, to facilitate these companies with little economic solvency to independently acquire professionals in various multimedia fields. In addition to this, we seek to contribute significantly to the purpose of ODS 9 by promoting an innovative model such as teleworking.
