parejas no clínicas.
Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT) is a contemporary therapeutic approach aimed at improving the quality of couple relationships through a combination of emotional acceptance strategies and behavioral change techniques. Unlike traditional models, it integrates cognitive, behavioral, and emotional components, promoting a deeper understanding of marital conflicts and enabling more sustainable and effective interventions. Its application has shown promising results, leading to a growing body of research in recent years. This monograph aimed to analyze recent research advances on interventions based on IBCT developed between 2020 and 2024. A documentary review of empirical studies was conducted using the EBSCO database, employing keywords in both Spanish and English. The initial search yielded seven studies, of which three met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed in detail. Findings indicate that IBCT has been primarily applied in clinical settings with couples experiencing relational difficulties, as well as in preventive interventions with non-clinical couples. The results highlight the effectiveness of this approach in enhancing communication, emotional acceptance, and relationship cohesion, with effects sustained over time. Furthermore, the model demonstrated adaptability to various cultural contexts, although a significant lack of research was noted in Latin American countries, particularly in Colombia. IBCT represents an effective alternative for strengthening romantic relationships, and further research is recommended in Ibero-American contexts to support its cross-cultural applicability
