In the first instance, the reverse logistics is defined by some authors, as the method which allows to understand the operations and requirements related to the reuse of products based on raw material, in addition to controlling the flow of semi- processed inventories related to the collection, collection, production and distribution. unpacking and processing of used materials. On the other hand, reverse logistics can be considered a voluntary obligation in the industry in relation to the environment, as a result of cultural modifications, which have originated in recent years, it should be said that globalization, industrialization, regulation, technological developments, among others, these fundamental changes are considered, however, they are seen as an instrument of corporate competitive advantage in order to reduce costs and achieve more convenient results in the supply chain. . Therefore, this pattern is of essential utility not only for the reduction of environmental impacts, likewise it affects the effective management of products that originate for various reasons by the supply chain, in order to recover to the maximum their value and contribution In this same order of ideas, it was deduced that the main challenge of the industrial sector and the organizations, is to be able to incorporate in an effective way, the process of reverse logistics in its supply chain, therefore, this procedure, leads to the realization of a more specific and deep investigation. because the processing processes in Colombia are scarce, therefore, the execution of the reverse logistics process in the supply chain, demand extrinsic guidance. Objectives: To develop the methodology for reverse logistics in the reuse of used batteries that contributes to the mitigation of environmental impact in Colombia. Materials and methods: Descriptive study, with hypothetical-deductive methodology, in order to create possible methodologies that facilitate reverse logistics in the reuse of used batteries. Results: This study aimed to create Check List to help categorize lead acid batteries to scrap batteries nationwide, another for monitoring the metals released into the environment in the processes of separation, production and distribution of lead acid batteries, in order to control the metal that is released into the environment, achieving a contribution to the reduction of pollution in the environment by lead. Conclusion: The results in this project were found that the proposal embodied in this work, aimed to implement a reverse logistics methodology in the reuse of used lead acid batteries that contributes to the mitigation of the environmental impact in Colombia, Colombia. through the characterization of post- consumer batteries of different brands and together with the environmental impact matrix can be determined the amount of lead released that affect the environment, for this purpose, future researchers can create methodologies or processes that help reduce these metals exposed to the environment in order to reduce pollution to the environment.
