Resumen
La medicina prepagada es un plan de salud complementario
financiado exclusivamente con los recursos cancelados por los particulares que, a
su vez, deben pertenecer al plan obligatorio de salud (POS), del régimen
contributivo y a los cuales no se les excluye de la obligación de cotizar o ser
beneficiarios de éste.
Objetivo: Identificar el perfil de los usuarios que adquieren servicios de medicina
prepagada en una empresa de Barranquilla-Colombia.
Metodología: Estudio descriptivo de corte transversal realizado a 134 usuarios que
tienen servicios de medicina prepagada en una empresa privada de la ciudad de
Barraquilla-Colombia. Se aplicó una encuesta semiestructurada que recolectó datos
relacionados con las características sociodemográfica (sexo, edad, estrato y estado
civil), el nivel educativo (bachiller, posgrado, profesional y técnico), el plan de
medicina prepagada (elite, gama baja, para menores, gama medio y gama alta) y el
número de beneficiarios del plan.
Prepaid medicine is a complementary health plan financed exclusively with resources paid by individuals who, in turn, must belong to the mandatory health plan (POS), the contributory regime and who are not excluded from the obligation to contribute or be beneficiaries of it. Methodology: Descriptive cross-sectional study carried out on 134 users who have prepaid medicine services in a private company in the city of Barraquilla-Colombia.
