Resumen
El presente trabajo de investigación aborda los desafíos y la sostenibilidad del acueducto metropolitano de Cúcuta, con el objetivo de analizar integralmente sus problemas y proponer soluciones efectivas. A través de un enfoque cualitativo y un análisis documental, se examinaron informes técnicos, planes de acción y leyes relacionadas con la gestión del agua en la región. Se identificaron tres áreas principales de preocupación: las deficiencias en la infraestructura del acueducto, el impacto del cambio climático en la disponibilidad de agua y la necesidad de una gestión más eficiente de los recursos hídricos.
This research examines the sustainability challenges of the metropolitan aqueduct system in Cúcuta, Colombia, with the aim of conducting an in-depth analysis of itsissues and proposing effective solutions. Through a qualitative approach and documental analysis, key reports, action plans, and relevant laws related to watermanagement in the region were reviewed. Three main areas of concern were identified: deficiencies in the aqueduct infrastructure, the impact of climate change on water availability, and the need for more efficient resource management. The study also explored local initiatives to improve system efficiency, leading to the formulation of key recommendations for enhancing the sustainability and management of the aqueduct system.
