Estrategias de turismo sostenible en el corregimiento de Palomino (La Guajira) como actividad económica y mecanismo para mitigar la crisis generada por la pandemia COVID-19

Pregunta de Revisión: ¿Qué estrategias de turismo sostenible se podrían diseñar para impulsar el crecimiento económico, social y ambiental en el corregimiento de Palomino Guajira y mitigar la crisis generada por la pandemia COVID-19?
Objetivo: Proponer estrategias de turismo sostenible en pro del crecimiento económico, social y ambiental en el corregimiento de Palomino Guajira, en el que se vean favorecidos sus habitantes y les permita mitigar la crisis generada por la pandemia COVID-19.
Metodología: La presente investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo centrado en identificar la situación turística del corregimiento de Palomino debido a crisis generada por la pandemia COVID-19 y el riego al que se ven expuesto los sitios turísticos y sus habitantes por el desarrollo de la actividad turística. Se aplicó un instrumento que arrojo información que puedo ser transformada para luego ser analizada a la luz de la teoría del desarrollo del turismo sostenible y los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible.
Resultados: El análisis de la información obtenida permitió determinar los aspectos positivos y negativos de las condiciones físicas, ambientales, sociales, económicas e institucionales, entregando finalmente estrategias de turismo sostenible que puedan servir para mejorar la realidad actual. Finalmente, la generación de estrategias de turismo sostenible que se podrían llevar a cabo, contribuyendo así al desarrollo local.
Conclusiones: Esta investigación realizó un diagnóstico de la situación turística del corregimiento de Palomino la Guajira el cual determinó que las ventajas que trae consigo esta actividad económica son: y los impactos negativos generados por la pandemia COVID-19 como son: el desempleo, muchos hoteles/hostales se fueron a la quiebra lo que ha traído
inestabilidad económica y hambre en la población. Esto se pudo obtener mediante la aplicación de encuestas y entrevistas informales.
Se identificaron los riesgos a los que se ven expuestos los habitantes y recursos naturales como consecuencia de la actividad económica generada por el turismo, para la consideración de los elementos a tener cuenta en el diseño de la estrategia de sostenibilidad que mejor les favorezca.
Derivada de esta investigación se recomendó acciones para fortalecer la economía, preservar la identidad y conservar los recursos naturales y ambientales del corregimiento de Palomino la Guajira, permitiéndoles afrontar la crisis generada por la pandemia COVID-19.
Review Question: What sustainable tourism strategies could be designed to boost economic, social and environmental growth in the town of Palomino Guajira and mitigate the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic? Objective: Propose sustainable tourism strategies for economic, social and environmental growth in the Palomino Guajira district, in which its inhabitants are favored and allow them to mitigate the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Methodology: This research was developed under a quantitative approach focused on identifying the tourist situation of the Palomino district due to the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic and the irrigation to which tourist sites and their inhabitants are exposed due to the development of the tourist activity. An instrument was applied that provided information that can be transformed to later be analyzed in light of the theory of sustainable tourism development and the sustainable development goals. Results: The analysis of the information obtained allowed to determine the positive and negative aspects of the physical, environmental, social, economic and institutional conditions, finally delivering sustainable tourism strategies that can serve to improve the current reality. Finally, the generation of sustainable tourism strategies that could be carried out, thus contributing to local development. Conclusions: This research carried out a diagnosis of the tourist situation of the Palomino la Guajira district, which determined that the advantages that this economic activity brings with it are: and the negative impacts generated by the COVID-19 pandemic such as: unemployment, many hotels / hostels went bankrupt which has brought economic instability and hunger in the population. This could be obtained through the application of surveys and informal interviews. The risks to which the inhabitants and natural resources are exposed as a consequence of the economic activity generated by tourism were identified, for the consideration of the elements to take into account in the design of the sustainability strategy that best favors them. Derived from this research, actions were recommended to strengthen the economy, preserve the identity and conserve the natural and environmental resources of the Palomino la Guajira district, allowing them to face the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
