Resumen
La presente investigación pretende activar la innovación, desarrollo, creación e implementación de nuevas políticas que permitan explotar la funcionalidad del transporte fluvial de pasajeros entre el municipio de Sabanagrande y la ciudad de Barranquilla, pasando por los municipios aledaños al río Magdalena.
El método de obtención de datos y definición de algunos problemas en torno a esta iniciativa, busca exponer algunos aspectos inherentes a este tipo de transporte; tales como la infraestructura necesaria, la situación social y económica y algunos elementos normativos.
Asimismo, los resultados pueden ilustrar a las instituciones departamentales y nacionales con competencia en transporte fluvial para tomar decisiones sobre la posibilidad de explotar el transporte fluvial de pasajeros para satisfacer las necesidades básicas de las comunidades aledañas al municipio de Sabanagrande, Barranquilla y otros municipios aledaños.
The present investigation intends to activate the research, development, creation and implementation of new policies that allow exploiting the functionality of fluvial passenger’s transportation between the municipality of Sabanagrande and the city of Barranquilla, passing through the municipalities bordering the Magdalena River. The method of obtaining data and defining some problems around this initiative, seeks to expose some aspects inherent to this type of transportation; such as the necessary infrastructure, the social and economic situation and some normative elements. Likewise, the results can ilustrate to the departmental and national institutions with competence in river transportation to make decisions about the possibility of exploiting the fluvial passenger’s transportation in order to satisfy the basic needs of the communities surrounding the municipality of Sabanagrande, Barranquilla and other neighboring municipalities.
