Actualmente, la violencia de género es una problemática social que ha tomado relevancia en estos últimos años, que afecta tanto física, mental, económica y socialmente a hombres como a mujeres, no obstante, por las luchas de igualdad y empoderamiento femenino, se suele hacer hincapié en la violencia de genero hacia la mujer por medio de campañas, proyectos y leyes, con el fin de priorizar los derechos de estas, dejando de lado la violencia a la cual también son expuesto los hombres. Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior, en esta investigación se plantea como objetivo principal analizar la violencia psicológica contra los hombres desde una perspectiva de género, identificando las formas en cómo la sociedad y la cultura contribuyen a esta. A partir de esto, se busca concientizar a la población del grado de importancia que se le debe tomar a esta problemática, por lo que la metodología de que fue empleado en esta investigación es el cualitativo de tipo descriptivo con diseño reflexivo, y la técnica empleada fue la revisión documental, con el fin tomar como referencia diversos textos e investigaciones que hacían mención a esa temática. A lo largo del desarrollo de la investigación surgieron términos que encaminaron el discurso tales como “machismo”, “patriarcado”, “cultura” y “violencia de género” y otros que escasamente se hicieron mención, pero eran importante traer a colación tales como androcidio y como es la concepción del hombre como víctima. A raíz de lo anterior, en esta investigación se decide explorar una perspectiva diferente al discurso tradicional que asocia la violencia de género con el género femenino, destacando su participación como víctimas, así como también se destaca la importancia del contexto social, además de algunos estigmas y prejuicios arraigados al mismo. Finalmente, se resalta las repercusiones psicológicas y sociales que sufren los hombres víctimas de este tipo de violencia, demostrando así la importancia y la necesidad de concientizar a la sociedad y visibilizar esta problemática. Para concluir, se debe velar por la igualdad de género, tanto para los hombres como mujeres por igual, como una herramienta imprescindible para el desarrollo sostenible de las comunidades, haciendo hincapié en la equidad, trato igualitario, igualdad de oportunidades y desarrollo integral personal, sin dejar de lado las particularidades y características que engloban a cada uno de ellos.Violence is a calamity that affects all human beings without distinction of gender, race, age, social status, sexual orientation, among others (United Nations, 1993). Throughout the development of the research, terms emerged that guided the discourse such as "machismo", "patriarchy", "culture" and "gender violence" and others that were scarcely mentioned, but were important to bring up such as androcide and the conception of men as victims. As a result of the above, this research decided to explore a different perspective from the traditional discourse that associates gender violence with the female gender, highlighting their participation as victims, as well as highlighting the importance of the social context, in addition to some stigmas and prejudices rooted in it. Finally, the psychological and social repercussions suffered by men who are victims of this type of violence are highlighted, thus demonstrating the importance and need to raise awareness in society and make this problem visible.
