Este artículo hace énfasis en la negligencia e inobservancia por parte del Estado Colombiano al crear mecanismos y normativas que no cumplan con la finalidad de proteger la vida de estas personas y en la dedicación e importancia que tiene la labor de un líder social, así como el gran aporte que realizan a la creación de un tejido social que se fundamente en la reivindicación de los derechos humanos de las minorías más vulnerables. Asimismo, también se reconocerá la función y misión que han tenido los líderes sociales, lideresas y defensores de derechos humanos, la cual es un factor indispensable y a la vez muy necesario en la construcción de la democracia en una nación. Es conveniente resaltar que el tema abordado ha venido atravesando una crisis en cuanto a temas personales y colectivos en una determinada sociedad, en donde a raíz de esta problemática se han vulnerado derechos por medio del maltrato, acoso, desigualdad, violencia física y psicológica, en donde este grupo selecto de personas han venido realizando una labor irremplazable que con el pasar del tiempo ha venido presentando cambios positivos y muy significativos en muchos países, especialmente en Colombia. En el transcurso de este trabajo se desarrollará el análisis pertinente para entender la violencia que atraviesan las personas comprometidas a la defensa de los derechos humanos y de igual forma las medidas tomadas por el Estado colombiano que pese a ser existentes son bastante negligentes. Todo esto desde una mirada tanto nacional como internacional, con la finalidad de hacer alusión a las problemáticas que enfrentan los defensores de derechos humanos, líderes y lideresas sociales en América Latina.The following work aims to identify and announce the vulnerability that Human Rights defenders and Social Leaders in the country experience every day. This article emphasizes in the negligence and non-observance from the Colombia’s State in creating mechanisms and regulations that do not comply with the purpose of protecting the lives of these people and in the dedication and importance of the work of a Social Leader, as well as the great contribution that they carry out to the creation of a social fabric that is based on the vindication of the human rights for the most vulnerable minorities. Likewise, the function and mission that Social Leaders and Human Rights defenders have had will also be recognized, which is an indispensable factor, and at the same time is very necessary in the construction of democracy in a nation. It should be noted that the topic addressed has been going through a crisis in terms of personal and collective issues in a certain society, where as a result of this problem rights have been violated through mistreatment, harassment, inequality, physical and psychological violence, in which this select group of people have been carrying out an irreplaceable work, that over time has been presenting positive and very significant changes in many countries, especially in Colombia. In the course of this work, the pertinent analysis will be developed to understand the violence that people committed to the defense of Human Rights go through, and in the same way the measures taken by the Colombian Government, that despite their existence, they are quite negligent.
