El trabajo se desarrolló desde una perspectiva cualitativa a través de la revisión de 50 fuentes, que revelaron cinco tendencias de investigación: 1) migración y salud mental, abordadas desde la perspectiva de la pérdida y la desprotección; 2) las características, factores estresantes y estrategias de afrontamiento del duelo migratorio; 3) estereotipos sociales y de género, construidos en torno al sujeto migrante; 4) la crisis y debilidad institucional; 5) la fragmentación y búsqueda de calidad de vida de la familia transnacional. El estudio considera el impacto emocional, psicológico y afectivo de la migración en función de si es voluntaria o forzada, si existen o no redes de apoyo, si existen o no factores de integración y/o fragmentación familiar.The article aims to study the impact of migration on mental health, considering individual and family implications. The work was developed from a qualitative perspective through the review of 50 sources, which revealed five research trends: 1) migration and mental health, approached from the perspective of loss and lack of protection; 2) the characteristics, stressors, and coping strategies of migratory grief; 3) social and gender stereotypes, built around the migrant subject; 4) the crisis and institutional weakness; 5) the fragmentation and search for quality of life of the transnational family.
