Método: Se utilizó paradigma positivista hipotético-deductivo, teniendo como muestra 503 estudiantes, 56.86% (n=286) mujeres, y 43.14% (n=217) hombres, con edad promedió los 15.54 años. Resultados: Los principales hallazgos obtenidos, corresponden a la identificación de características sociodemográficas determinantes en cada variable, la descripción del nivel por dimensiones de la orientación suicida y el apoyo social percibido. Por último, se realizó la correlación significativa entre las variables. Conclusiones: se halló evidencia de correlación significativa entre el apoyo familiar y todas las subescalas de la orientación suicida.Objective: To analyze the level of suicidal orientation and perceived social support for the therapeutic approach in school adolescents in the city of Cúcuta.
