El lupus eritematoso sistémico (LES) es una enfermedad autoinmune compleja, donde se ha evidenciado que quienes la padecen son más susceptibles a desarrollar infecciones en comparación con la población en general. Objetivo: Determinar la prevalencia de infecciones bacterianas asociadas a pacientes con nefritis lúpica pertenecientes a NEFRORED en la clínica de la Costa, Barranquilla durante el periodo 2019-2 al 2020-1. Métodos: Estudio descriptivo, transversal. La fuente de información fue la base de datos de pacientes valorados por el servicio de nefrología de NEFRORED. Resultados: De los 37 pacientes con nefritis lúpica el 78.3% correspondiente a 29 pacientes, presentaron infección de vías urinarias (IVU), de los cuales el 86.2% corresponde a 25 mujeres y el 13.8% corresponde a 4 hombres. Conclusión: Las infecciones bacterianas asociadas a pacientes con nefritis lúpica que se encontraron fueron de vías urinarias y de piel (piodermitis).Introduction: Lupus nephritis occurs when lupus antibodies affect structures in the kidneys.
